Monoki is the work of Parisian designer Diane Goldstein. Raised by an architect father and a sculptor mother, she studied at Central Saint Martins and founded the brand, AprilMay, before turning to the piece she loves most: the kimono jacket. (Look closely and you'll notice Monoki is "kimono" with the letters rearranged.)

Diane designs pieces meant to make you feel good on an ordinary Tuesday. Throw one over a white tee and jeans for school pick-up, over a slip dress for dinner, or over your swimmers when lunch runs long. Easy to wear, nothing too done up, and the fastest way to look like you made an effort when you absolutely didn't.
