ISABEL MARANT
Isabel Marant has aestheticised Parisian cool-girl chic by, paradoxically, reaching to all corners of the globe for inspiration—from the American West to the French Riviera. Cultivating what Vogue describes as a “nomadic” look, the design house has accrued a cult following among fashion’s elite.
It’s a covetable image that the designer herself has been developing since the inception of her first knitwear and jersey brand, Twen, in 1989. In 1995, she debuted her eponymous label with a larger ready-to-wear offering. Despite offering fresh designs each season, Marant stays true to her identity—a French "sprezzatura", if such a thing exists.
