Denim is a durable cotton twill fabric, traditionally woven from 100% cotton. Most designer denim today blends in a small amount of elastane or stretch fibre for comfort and shape retention, while heritage and raw denim styles stick to pure cotton for that classic structured feel.

A US/international size 28 in jeans typically converts to an Australian size 12, depending on the brand's fit. Because sizing varies between designer denim labels, we always recommend checking the specific brand's size guide or booking an in-person fitting at our James Street boutique for the most accurate fit.

Wash jeans inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle to preserve colour and reduce fading, and air-dry rather than tumble-dry when possible to protect the fibres and shape. For raw or selvedge denim, many brands recommend minimal washing to maintain the fabric's structure.
